One Brooklyn Health Podiatry Residency Program is a comprehensive three-year Podiatric Medicine and Surgery residency program with added Reconstructive and Rearfoot/Ankle (PMSR/RRA) fully approved by the Council of Podiatric Medical Education. The residency offers a full range of Rearfoot/Ankle surgery and extensive wound care training by more than 10 active board-certified attending surgeons.
One Brooklyn Health Podiatry Residency Program is a Level I Trauma Center composed of three hospitals and their affiliated facilities, Brookdale Hospital Medical Center (BHMC),Interfaith Medical Center (IMC), and Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center (KJMC)
We provide comprehensive training in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery, trauma surgery, podiatry clinic, wound care clinic, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, research, and academics, yet we are most proud of the supportive environment among residents and attendings that has been cultivated. We seek to find well-rounded, hardworking, and motivated students to join our residency family.
Surgical/academic knowledge is gained from weekly lecture series, monthly journal club, M&M (morbidity and mortality) and monthly grand rounds, as well as surgical case presentations and saw bone/cadaver labs.
