OBH Celebrates World Diabetes Day!

On November 14th, the Diabetes Center of Excellence @ Pierre Toussaint Health Center, hosted a dynamic event celebrating Diabetes Awareness, featuring a day filled with education, conversation and celebration! This event also featured engaging presentations from Endocrinologist, Dr. Kurt Kodroff, Health Coach, Jeanine Allen and Chef Webb from our community Food Box Program! Community partners Verdure (Vegan Jamaican Restaurant) and Simply Sweet (Vegan Raw Dessert Shop) donated delicious healthy meals and desserts appropriate for our diabetic patients. Additionally, Spa Expectations allured guests with free massage services and gift packages. Our event featured coverage from the Canarsie Courier, Whatz Up News and NYU Journalism Department.
