One Brooklyn Health's President and Chief Transformation Officer recently had the honor of representing our health system on a global stage. Invited by renowned health strategist Allen Miller, he served as a member of the esteemed faculty for an international Value-Based Care course in Tokyo, Japan—an experience he describes as both fortunate and humbling.
In partnership with the University of Tokyo Hospital, the program brought together more than 50 scholars—young healthcare professionals dedicated to transforming the future of care. He kicked off the course with a keynote lecture titled “The American Health Care Delivery System: Context, Characteristics, Reform and the Future,” offering insight into the complex dynamics of the U.S. system and how reform can pave the way for equity and innovation.
“The scholars were fully engaged,” he shared. “They brought thoughtful—and refreshingly youthful—perspectives to the discussion. They will make fantastic warriors for change in a health system that needs that kind of commitment.”
Through this powerful exchange, One Brooklyn Health continues to reinforce its commitment to transformative leadership—locally and globally.
