Rutland Nursing Home, located on the campus of Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, operates a 466-bed, long- and short-term care facility. We have nursing, physical rehabilitation, comprehensive wound care and a specialty unit for ventilator-dependent residents. In contrast to free-standing nursing homes, we have a significant advantage in our ability to access the resources of our affiliated hospitals in support of resident care.
Rutland also has a dedicated 32-bed pediatric long-term care unit for children with severe developmental and metabolic disorders. The unit is staffed with nurses and pediatricians 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Medical care in Rutland Nursing Home is coordinated by physicians experienced and dedicated to pediatrics and geriatrics. Encouraging the residents to maximize their ability to lead active and fulfilling lives, licensed nurses provide optimal nursing care and therapists deliver state-of-the-art physical, occupational, recreational, and speech therapies.
Additionally, the Young Adult Post-Acute Care Unit at Rutland Nursing Home is a skilled nursing facility which provides comprehensive and integrative health care to residents, ages 18-35 years. We strive for the highest standards of treatment, utilizing an interdisciplinary and person-centered approach to caring for our residents. Compassionate Care.
