We also have an ambulatory surgery suite to allow patients to resume their regular routines quickly after an operation. In addition, ambulatory surgery may be chosen for procedures too complex to be performed in a doctor’s office, but are relatively uncomplicated, therefore, do not require hospitalization. As a result, patients receive convenient, quality and cost-effective care.

Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Roland Royston Purcell

Dr. Purcell’s journey began in Curaçao and Grenada, eventually leading him to a prestigious Vascular Surgery fellowship at the Texas Heart Institute before he dedicated 40 years to our community. He was a master of his craft and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, yet he lived with a profound humility that defined our halls. Beyond the operating room, he was a scholar of philosophy and history who believed there were no 'enemies,' only 'challenges.' We strive every day to match the sincerity, scholarship, and tireless work ethic he gifted to this institution.
