OBH Welcomes Dr. David Smith

One Brooklyn Health is pleased to welcome Dr. David N. Smith to the Department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at both Brookdale and Interfaith Medical Centers, of One Brooklyn Health!

Dr. David N. Smith has received his Bachelor of Science from University of Michigan, MD from Ross University Medical School, Internal Medicine Residency training at SUNY Downstate, Chief Resident at SUNY Downstate (as Brooklyn Veterans Hospital) and his Fellowship at SUNY Downstate in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine.

He has been working as an Attending Physician at Kings County Hospital and was the Associate Program Director for the Pulmonary/Critical Care Fellowship program for almost 5 years. He thoroughly enjoys training residents and fellows. The positive feedback he routinely receives from them is a reminder of the impact he has had on his trainees.

"I enjoy the complexity of taking care of the sickest patients in the hospital. Although difficult, end of life care is quite complex and emotional and I find it so important to work with both patients and families during that difficult time."
