One Brooklyn Health's Division of Pediatric Hematology / Oncology Hosts Annual Holiday Party

On Friday December 13th, One Brooklyn Health's Division of Pediatric Hematology / Oncology hosted their annual holiday party to celebrate many of their patients. Dr. Viswanathan and her staff have been holding this party since 1995! The children and their families receive donated gifts and enjoy a wonderful holiday meal complete with entertainment, decorations, activities, and a visit from Santa.

The event was made possible through generous donations from the Zitwer Foundation, Brookdale staff’s Adopt-A-Family, Make a Wish Foundation, the Cambell Family, Double H Ranch, Only Make Believe, and Carlito's Wish Foundation. Limited edition Sickle Cell Awareness basketballs which were donated by New York Presbyterian’s Dalio Center for Health were gifted to our patients as well.

This year was made more special by the generous toy donations that were provided by the O'Neill's Angels Foundation. Our very own Dr. Patricia O'Neill's family held a toy drive in her memory and donated over 200 toys to this celebration. The family was present at the party and helped hand out toys.
