Congratulations to Dr. Sebastian Arruarana on National Leadership Appointment

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Sebastian Arruarana, resident in our Department of Internal Medicine, on his recent election to a two-year term (2026–2028) on the Governing Council of the Council of Resident and Fellow Members of the American College of Physicians within the American College of Physicians.

This prestigious national leadership role includes only a small number of physician representatives from across the United States. In this capacity, Dr. Arruarana will help shape policy discussions, advocacy priorities, physician wellness initiatives, and the future direction of internal medicine training nationwide.

We are especially proud that he is the only representative from New York City and the sole representative of Brooklyn, giving our community a direct voice at the national level. His commitment to advancing health equity, physician wellness, patient access, and community engagement reflects the mission and values of One Brooklyn Health.
