Helping Brooklyn see better

Vision is essential for everyone, and maintaining good eye health is the key to optimal eyesight and care. OBH’s Department of Ophthalmology is particularly sensitive to the role vision plays in preserving the quality of life and independence of the elderly.

Our objective is to protect the eyes and vision of Brooklyn’s general population through routine eye care, outpatient services, and a range of eye surgeries to treat eye conditions or diseases. Eye conditions and diseases include glaucoma, cataracts, retina-vitreous, oculoplastics, and cornea.

Our renowned neuro-ophthalmologists can diagnose and treat medical and neurologic problems such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiac disease, blood disorders, multiple sclerosis, stroke and brain tumors.

The Department of Ophthalmology is also a training site for post-graduate fellows.
