Schulman Schachne is a skilled nursing facility that offers short-term rehabilitation, sub-acute care, long-term care, comprehensive wound care, and specialty units for ventilator-dependent residents. In addition, Schulman Schachne has a dementia unit and specialty designated HIV units.
SSI admits residents to special rehabilitation services and treatment when they are over the acute phase of their illness. We also accept residents for chronic, long-term senior care, dementia care, HIV/AIDS, wound care, ventilator dependence and hospice care. Our ability to care for clinically complex residents includes blood transfusions, IV therapies, wound care and much more.
Schulman Schachne is the proud winner of the NYSHFA Innovative Practice Award for innovative resident care practice at our HIV/AIDS units. In addition, NYSHFA honored SSI in recognition of the importance of innovation in improving the quality of long-term care services in New York State through its Enrichment Program.
